Today was the the Nippo Tokyo branch's fall Tenrankai. I try to attend all the regionals in the Kanto area, and Tokyo is only an hour and a half away. We had some pretty crazy rain going on last night, and in the early morning, but by the time things got underway the weather was more cooperative.
@Mongoose That's 'Koto', a friend's red Shikoku male. He's been showing really well this year. He's sired a few litters this season, and at least one of the pups is going overseas. I think there are some available :P
What's that dog's name in the second photo? I want his babies!

ReplyDeleteDo you know how much the puppies go for?
ReplyDeleteThe price of a Nihon Ken pup over here varies by breeder, but usually you're looking at 50,000-100,000 yen.
ReplyDeleteMost of the Shikoku kennels are non profit family run affairs, so prices of pups are rather low.
It's the shipping overseas that costs a lot.
That's about the same price that my dog's breeder starts her puppies at, too, but she's in Canada. I guess I'd better start saving for the shipping.
